Now Is The Time
John 15:3 Now ye are clean through the
word which I have spoken unto you. (KJV)
Have you ever had someone come up and ask
you for the time? When dealing with people they are looking for what time
it is now, not yesterday or tomorrow. So when dealing with salvation the
same holds true, where are you at right now, this moment?
Hebrews 10:38-39 Now the just shall live
by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.
(39) But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that
believe to the saving of the soul. (KJV)
Right now, stop and ask yourself which
path are you following today and who are you really following, the leading
of the Spirit or have you gotten sidetracked? Without faith, your hearing
the word of God, then you have entered a realm of impossible, where you
will no longer be able to please God. The less you give ear to the Word the
more you will fall away from the truth and be turned unto fables.
Luke 9:59-62 And he said unto another,
Follow me. But he said, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father. (60)
Jesus said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach
the kingdom of God. (61) And another also said, Lord, I will follow thee;
but let me first go bid them farewell, which are at home at my house. (62) And
Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking
back, is fit for the kingdom of God. (KJV)
The Lord didn’t mince His words; when He
speaks it’s time to act, making His realm and His people more of a priority
than those of our past life. For many of us we have spent our time in the
past being more of a people pleasing sort than a God one. That all changes
once you enter into the Lord’s realm, because no man can serve two masters
anymore, it’s His way or the not so highway; nothing or no one should ever
come before you pleasing God any longer.
Romans 13:11-12 And that, knowing the
time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our
salvation nearer than when we believed. (12) The night is far spent, the
day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us
put on the armour of light. (KJV)
What time did you say it was? Well, according
to your spiritual clock your salvation is available right now. You know how
diligent you are in seeking to have your prayers answered especially in a
time of need; well, now the Lord is asking you personally, how diligent are
you to respond to His calling and His people that are in need as well?
1 Peter 4:7-8 But the end of all things
is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer. (8) And above all
things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the
multitude of sins. (KJV)
The truth be known people, we are much
closer to the end than the beginning; so with that in mind, is there
anything that you have thought that was of more importance than your
salvation? Given the fact that we are this close to the finish line,
wouldn’t now be an appropriate time to make sure you are in good standing
with the Lord? As a former transit driver, I would run according to a
schedule which was in writing and available to all that would want to ride.
So when the time of departure would come, I would go. When the Lord says it’s
time to go will you be ready?
