Extended Warranty Plan

2 Corinthians 5:16-17 Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more. (17) Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. (KJV)

In this day and age, with new appliances they offer an extended warranty to keep the product running like new, and not get old and fall apart. In the realm of the Spirit, with the new life in Christ that we are now partakers of we too need to be operating in the new or else we will revert back to the old and end up worn out, or should I say we will wear out our welcome with the Lord. It’s only when old things are passed away (like your old man and its fallen nature) that a new man can spring forth and operate in the newness of life that our Lord intended for you to walk in. You wouldn’t try to replace parts on a new product with old parts because eventually they will wear out and shut it down. In order to keep a new product running you will need to replace the old with new to keep it operational. It’s only those that are truly in Christ, those that have truly entered into His realm and ceased from their own works, that are walking in the new and no longer in bondage to the old man which is falling apart and in need of replacement.

Psalms 51:10-12 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. (11) Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me. (12) Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit. (KJV)

You know, the whole reason you purchase a new product is because you wanted something reliable, something that would last. The whole reason the Lord died for our sins is so that He could purchase us and redeem us from a death sentence, and that we would be reliable as well. It takes a constant renewing, replacing old worn out parts in your walk on a daily basis if one truly desires to be used by our Lord; a go to guy that is ready always to give the answer to any that would ask of the hope within you. Have you ever gone to a laundry mat, or tried to use a pay phone that had an out of order sign on it? Well many Christians are like that, they are out of order and unable to do what was intended of them because they didn’t take the time to hear the Lord’s instructions on what needed replacement in order to work effectively that day. Just like with out of order appliances, the Lord will move on and look for someone else that is operational in order to accomplish what is needed that day.

Luke 5:36-38 And he spake also a parable unto them; No man putteth a piece of a new garment upon an old; if otherwise, then both the new maketh a rent, and the piece that was taken out of the new agreeth not with the old. (37) And no man putteth new wine into old bottles; else the new wine will burst the bottles, and be spilled, and the bottles shall perish. (38) But new wine must be put into new bottles; and both are preserved. (KJV)

You know, if you try to take some of the parts that fit today’s products and put them on products from the past it just won’t work. The new wine, or the new doctrine that our Lord would like to see His people indoctrinated with cannot be put into the old man or his limited way of thinking, because he will not be able to hold fast to the end. This new doctrine, this new way of thinking must be put into a new creation, which is Christ in you, so that you can effectively hold fast to His Word and not let go of it or let it slip away. Just like with appliances, only the proper replacement parts will work, while anything less or inferior will cause a shutdown.

Isaiah 50:4-5 The Lord GOD hath given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary: he wakeneth morning by morning, he wakeneth mine ear to hear as the learned. (5) The Lord GOD hath opened mine ear, and I was not rebellious, neither turned away back. (KJV)

When the Lord was calling you in the wee hours of the morning, He was awakening more than just the carnal man, He desired for your Spiritual ears to open up also. The Lord’s desire for you is to seek first His kingdom and righteousness so that all that you need for this day is provided, that you would be a vessel fit and ready for His use. Did you give ear to His new daily updates that He had for you today so that you could walk in newness of life in Christ, or are you letting the old man have his way which is leading right back to the graveyard?

Proverbs 15:23-24 A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth: and a word spoken in due season, how good is it! (24) The way of life is above to the wise, that he may depart from hell beneath. (KJV)

You know, the reason our Lord was waking you was not only for yourself, but that you would be prepared to give a word of encouragement to one of His people so that they could make the proper adjustments that would get them through the day. Remember what our Lord said concerning the greatest love we could demonstrate, to lay down our lives for the brethren? Well how about rising up and opening your Spiritual ears so that you have the answer available to any and all that the Lord would have come across the path of life He is asking you to walk in this day. And when one of His people does come along will they find the answer they are seeking, or will there be an out of order sign?

Matthew 25:34-36 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: (35) For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: (36) Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. (KJV)

A good repair man will walk into a situation and see right away what is needed, then make the proper repairs to keep the product running effectively. God has provided you with the tools not only to keep yourself up and running, but to be able to encourage others also. In conclusion today, if you knew the Lord was personally coming to your house for a visit today you would make every preparation to make sure your house was in order. Well, our Lord would like to send some of His people your way also, will you be as diligent with them? Will you be up and running, operational, or will you be shut down because your warranty ran out and you didn’t renew it?
