A Hidden Agenda
Matthew 6:6-8 But thou, when thou
prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to
thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall
reward thee openly. (7) But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the
heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much
speaking. (8) Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth
what things ye have need of, before ye ask him. (KJV)
Mankind has many hidden agendas, they say
one thing but mean another; people our Lord warned us about and asked us
not to imitate. Many of man’s agendas and doctrines are more self serving,
looking after and seeking more their own things and not those which will be
of a benefit to others. God has a hidden agenda for mankind as well, only
His is for our benefit, providing the things that are necessary
Spiritually. If one does not know for themselves the will of God, His
secret if you would, then they will miss out on His personal plan of
salvation and path He ordained for you to walk in before the foundation of
the world. You won’t find this secret revealed in the outward realm,
whether you think it is money, or a job, or some significant other who you
think will bring you peace and fulfillment, but rather this secret will
only be revealed to those that are willing to walk in the Spirit no longer
letting their flesh and its fallen desires dictate their walk.
Psalms 25:14-15 The secret of the LORD is
with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant. (15) Mine eyes
are ever toward the LORD; for he shall pluck my feet out of the net. (KJV)
When you think of fear, don’t think of it
as someone standing around with knees knocking together, but rather fear
refers to reverence or respect. Mankind has been trapped, stuck in a web of
deceit because of their fallen natures. God in His infinite mercy sent His
Son to reveal His secret so that we could be set free from this net, this
entangled web we were caught up in this present evil world, and allowed us
access to a rock solid foundation, a sure path and way that leads to
eternal life.
Romans 16:25-27 Now to him that is of
power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus
Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret
since the world began, (26) But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures
of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made
known to all nations for the obedience of faith: (27) To God only wise, be
glory through Jesus Christ for ever. Amen. (KJV)
The Old Testament prophets spoke about a Messiah
that would be sent and bring reconciliation to a fallen mankind. God’s
apostles and prophets in the New Testament clearly spell out what the mystery,
the secret is that has been hidden to the carnal man but is readily
revealed to the Spiritual one. Once again we see it is the preaching of
Jesus Christ that is able to make known this secret, something that has
been hidden since the foundation of the world. Do you know this secret for
yourself; do you know the only name that will get you access into this
secret realm so that you can hear personally the message God has for you
this day through Christ? If you don’t then you need to get back to your prayer
closet and quit hanging around with a bunch of hypocrites who are more self
seeking and not seeking first the kingdom of God and His righteousness
which is only found in Christ.
1 Corinthians 2:6-8 Howbeit we speak
wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor
of the princes of this world, that come to nought: (7) But we speak the
wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained
before the world unto our glory: (8) Which none of the princes of this world
knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of
glory. (KJV)
You know, if God’s own people, or should
I say those that claimed they were of God, had known this wisdom then they
would not have crucified our Lord. Today many that claim they are of God
still crucify our Lord and His doctrine all over again, because they don’t
know the hidden wisdom of God which is in Christ. It’s still a secret, a
mystery, a hidden agenda to those that don’t have their mind renewed and
keep it renewed in the things of the Spirit, thus why they are still in
darkness.
Matthew 7:13-15 Enter ye in at the strait
gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to
destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: (14) Because strait is
the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be
that find it. (15) Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's
clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. (KJV)
The Lord has a path, a way for you to
walk that is narrow and strait, a path not many are finding. Quite frankly,
even though a few find this path, even fewer are willing to continue on
this path and endure to the end, because rather than seek the Lord’s will
and agenda He has for them they fall away and seek an easier way, the broad
way that leads to destruction. Thus why we are told that many are called
and yet few are chosen, because only a few will look into the realm of the
Spirit and continue in that realm finding their eternal destination in
Christ.
Proverbs 3:32-33 For the froward is
abomination to the LORD: but his secret is with the righteous. (33) The
curse of the LORD is in the house of the wicked: but he blesseth the
habitation of the just. (KJV)
Did you take the time and make it a
priority to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, or did you
look elsewhere thinking that you would find it? The Lord has a hidden
agenda, a plan for your life which will only be found in Christ and only by
those that will walk with Him in His realm seeking those things which are
above.
