A Greater Insight
Ephesians 4:20-24 But ye have not so
learned Christ; (21) If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught
by him, as the truth is in Jesus: (22) That ye put off concerning the
former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the
deceitful lusts; (23) And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; (24) And
that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and
true holiness. (KJV)
Do you desire to get rid of the old man,
that old sinful nature that kept you in bondage and separated from God?
Then I would say it is time to tap into a new source, that being Christ in
you, if you desire to send the old man down the road. You know, Jesus of
Nazareth himself had a lower nature that had to be overcome so that He
could live a life without sin, and His source of strength was within Him,
that being Christ. Simply put, the truth that was in Jesus is in you also.
Now the question is, how much of this truth are you willing to seek and
then walk in as well?
I John 4:1-4 Beloved, believe not every
spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false
prophets are gone out into the world. (2) Hereby know ye the Spirit of God:
Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of
God: (3) And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in
the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye
have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
(4) Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater
is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. (KJV)
Keep in mind that we wrestle not against
flesh and blood, but rather the opposition we encounter as Christians is
spiritual. Anyone or any doctrine that does not include Christ is not of
God, but rather it is incomplete and lacking, which makes the hearers of
these false doctrines lacking also. Your ability to believe in God and
trust in Him for your eternal salvation is within you, and not on the
outside or in the outward realm. Your vision or how you are able to come to
an understanding of the Lord will only be found in the realm of the Spirit
and not in the flesh, or from those that claim they have the answer but
leave Christ out of their prayers and teachings. Greater is He that is
within you; and the only way you can be an overcomer of your old fallen
nature is by trusting and looking within so that you are not without. Again
and I know again this is brought up, but is it any wonder that the enemy is
described as antichrist, doing all he can to keep you from accessing this
truth?
Luke 17:20-21 And when he was demanded of
the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and
said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: (21) Neither shall
they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within
you. (KJV)
Our Lord Himself did not point the people
to any large denomination or group, but was quite specific to point the
people to the answer, and where it would be found. The only way you are
able to separate soul from Spirit, in others words, the only way you will
be able to tell the difference between what is of God and what man’s carnal
interpretations are, is by learning to trust Christ in you, your one and
only hope for glory.
Romans 8:14-17 For as many as are led by
the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. (15) For ye have not received
the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of
adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. (16) The Spirit itself beareth
witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: (17) And if
children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be
that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. (KJV)
Are you tired of living in fear and
doubt, in a spirit of fear that did not come from God? Then I would say it
is time to give ear to a Spirit that is greater, one that is located right
inside of you, waiting to give new life to those that hear. This Spirit of
Christ is bearing witness to our spirit, reminding us of who we are in Him
and how we too can be overcomers and no longer underachievers and wannabes.
The more you give ear to this counsel, the less likely you will fall for
man’s cheap imitations and hoaxes of what they claim will bring peace. I
don’t care how many sermons and church services you attend because unless
you get to know Christ for yourself you will know nothing that will be of
benefit to your walk.
I John 5:9-12 If we receive the witness
of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which
he hath testified of his Son. (10) He that believeth on the Son of God hath
the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar;
because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. (11) And this
is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in
his Son. (12) He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son
of God hath not life. (KJV)
You know, unless you come to a working
knowledge of the Son for yourself, a greater insight into the realm of the
Spirit, you will always have these doubts and fears that keep dogging you.
It is a perfect love and mature understanding of God that will cast out all
not just some fear, and that only comes by receiving the witness of God.
The witness of God is someone that is seated at the right hand of Him,
someone who walked this earth, lived a life without sin, and is ready,
willing, and able to do above and beyond all that we could ever ask or think
of, if we only let Him. This witness is now within you also, this Spirit of
Christ will show you personally how you can leave your old nature buried,
and walk in a newness of life, free from doubt and fear.
Ephesians 1:17-19 That the God of our
Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of
wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: (18) The eyes of your
understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his
calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
(19) And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who
believe, according to the working of his mighty power, (KJV)
How about replacing all that fear and
doubt with some power? How about letting the light of the glorious gospel
of Christ shine in your heart and remove any shadow or gray areas that have
kept you in the dark? There is a light shining within you so that you no
longer have to be without; so keep looking within where a much greater
insight awaits those who seek it.
